As a System Integrator you will be a member of the our Polish Operation Center team in Krakow, supporting delivery of HITACHI ABB EMS/DMS/SCADA systems and applications globally. Your duties will include configuring systems using Network Control approved product implementation standards, as well as acquiring working knowledge of regional market needs and helping drive standardization in the delivery process.
Your responsibilities
- Setup and configuration of servers’ and workstations’ OS platforms including (but not limited to): network & disk configuration, firmware updates, OS troubleshooting and performance tuning, installation and configuration of HITACHI ABB EMS/DMS/SCADA systems onto physical hardware as well as virtual environment
- Installation and configuration of Windows and Linux operating systems and cluster file system (High Availability Setup)
- Installation and configuration of Oracle/Postgres Database, middleware and other 3rd party software
- Infrastructure security implementation: Windows and RHEL platform hardening according to industry recognized benchmarks; antivirus, whitelisting, backup
- Following emerging cyberthreat trends in ICS and recommend related security design update
- Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and guidelines
- Share your experience and skills with other team members
- Cooperate with other teams and the customers using English (if you can speak, then also German) on daily basis - international travel required (up to 15%)
Your background
- Basic understanding system administration capabilities of Windows operating system, Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy and commercial RDBMS, especially Oracle/Postgres
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking in a server-client environment
- Eagerness to learn various technologies including inhouse products and tools
- Curiosity to troubleshoot and determination to achieve the goal
- Basic knowledge of Linux (RHEL) would be an advantage
- Ability to understand and write in at least one scripting language (Powershell, Perl, Python, Bash, VBS) is good to have
- Knowledge of Cyber Security will be an asset
