Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

• Act as the L2 escalation point for Microsoft Purview-related incidents and requests. 

• Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview components: 

• Data cataloguing 

• Data classification and labelling 

• Data lifecycle management 

• Insider risk and compliance monitoring 

• Perform root cause analysis and resolution of complex issues within SLAs. 

• Support the integration of Microsoft Purview with other M365 and Azure services (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Azure Information Protection). 

• Assist with onboarding new data sources and configuring scans and policies. 

• Collaborate with the Data Governance and Security teams to implement compliance and regulatory controls (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). 

• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices. 

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to L1 teams. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or system administration roles, with at least 1–2 years focusing on Microsoft Purview or Microsoft 365 Compliance solutions. 

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview components: 

• Data Map 

• Data Insights 

• Data Classification 

• Compliance Manager 

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center. 

• Experience with data governance frameworks and metadata management. 

• Understanding of data privacy laws and industry compliance requirements.
