Role Overview:
A Documentum Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise content management (ECM) solutions using OpenText Documentum. This role involves defining system architecture, ensuring scalability, and integrating Documentum with other enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect Documentum-based ECM solutions aligned with business goals.
Lead the implementation and configuration of Documentum components (Content Server, D2, xCP, etc.).
Define and enforce best practices for document storage, workflow automation, and security compliance.
Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Oversee system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
Evaluate and recommend ECM strategies and platform enhancements.
Ensure integration with other enterprise systems and data sources.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Documentum and ECM architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with Documentum D2, xCP, Content Server, and related tools.
Proficiency in Java/J2EE, DFC, DQL, REST APIs, and web technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of BPM, metadata modeling, and security frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, insurance).
Familiarity with OpenText Intelligent Capture, OTDS, and Brava.
Knowledge of performance tuning and system optimization.
Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

This role involves technical leadership, solution architecture, and hands-on development, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of Documentum-based applications using xCP, D2, and Webtop.
Architect and implement scalable solutions based on business needs.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements.
Guide junior developers and ensure adherence to coding standards and design principles.
Perform system upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Develop workflows, lifecycle management, and custom components.
Ensure compliance with security and data governance policies.
Support user testing, training, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in Documentum development.
Strong expertise in Documentum Content Server, DFC, DQL, xCP, and D2.

Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
Familiarity with Linux environments, Apache, Active Directory, and SAN/NAS.
Hands-on experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD tools.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and cloud-ready architectures.
