Lead Data Scientist / ML Lead

We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist / ML Lead for our client, an innovative company specialising in machine learning and AI solutions. They are a one-stop shop for businesses aiming to enhance their operations with state-of-the-art conversational AI, LLMs, natural language, and speech processing technologies. Their offerings include virtual employees (e.g., virtual assistants, sales managers, personal assistants), goal-oriented conversational AI, ASR/TTS solutions, and more.

With extensive expertise in Machine Learning and Speech Technologies, their solutions are used by hundreds of millions of people globally.

As part of their growth, they are seeking a skilled, goal-oriented ML Lead to join their platform and custom solution teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, train, and implement state-of-the-art machine learning models of varying complexity.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in model performance.
• Continuously enhance data science processes within the team (e.g., models, architectures, data sources).
• Develop tools and processes to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial role as a Senior or Lead Data Scientist, particularly in Voice Assistant/NLP projects.
• Proficiency with transformers and fine-tuning models.
• Experience with tasks such as named entity recognition, fact extraction, and other voice-assistance-related NLU tasks (preferred).
• Familiarity with search engines and recommendation systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of business needs with the ability to translate them into model requirements.
