Security Engineer (CloudSec)

About the role: What's in the Box

The service provider will contribute to the Cloud Security Team, supporting the maintenance of high security standards across HelloFresh’s global infrastructure. This engagement focuses on delivering infrastructure security solutions at scale through advanced automation and DevSecOps principles. As an external expert, the service provider will collaborate with HelloTech to harden cloud environments and services against evolving threats.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Enhance the security posture of cloud infrastructure and services by implementing hardening measures against unauthorized activities.

• Secure container environments and CI/CD pipelines, delivering automated guardrails for development workstreams.

• Develop and automate technical products and procedures to improve the overall infrastructure security posture.

• Design and operate scalable technical processes for cloud access provisioning based on least-privilege architecture.

• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to peers regarding cloud security best practices.

• Remediate and validate complex security issues across multi-cloud environments.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• A commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements and industry best practices in the cybersecurity field.

• Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proven professional experience within a security domain.

• Fluency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go).

• Demonstrated experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Ability to deliver services independently and effectively within cross-functional project environments.

• Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
