The Senior Technical Product Owner (Senior TPO) owns the strategic direction, roadmap, and value realisation of critical technical products within the Digital Commerce ecosystem. Acting as the senior interface between business strategy, product management, architecture, and engineering, the role ensures scalable, secure, and high-value solutions are delivered across markets.
The Senior TPO drives prioritisation across multiple squads, balances short-term delivery with long-term platform health, and shapes product strategy aligned to the HEINEKEN EverGreen agenda.
Your responsibilities would include:
Strategic Roadmap Ownership: defining and owning the 12–24-month roadmap for a technical product domain, aligning priorities to HEINEKEN EverGreen strategy and Digital Commerce goals
Portfolio Backlog Prioritisation: prioritising initiatives across multiple squads, markets, and stakeholders, balancing business demand with technical dependencies and platform health
Cross-Team Delivery Leadership: leading execution across multiple engineering/scrum teams and dependent platforms, ensuring alignment on milestones, scope, and delivery outcomes
Architecture & Technical Governance: partnering with (solution/domain) architects and engineering leaders to guide scalable, secure, and reusable solution design
Senior Stakeholder Management: acting as primary contact for senior business, product, regional, and technology stakeholders; aligning expectations and managing trade-offs
Value Tracking & Performance Management: defining and monitoring KPIs covering adoption, reliability, delivery performance, and business outcomes
Financial & Capacity Planning: contributing to annual planning, budget allocation, resource forecasting, and vendor prioritisation for the product area
Capability Building & Coaching: mentoring Product Owners, BAs, and Technical Product Owners; promoting best practices across product management and agile delivery.
You are a good candidate if you have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Business Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent is highly preferred
8+ years of experience in Technical Product Ownership, Technical Product Management, or Digital Delivery leadership
proven ownership of complex enterprise platforms or digital products
experience leading multi-market initiatives in matrix organisations
strong background in software engineering, architecture, or technical delivery
Adobe Workfront Knowledge
React.JS App knowledge
Workfront Fusion Knowledge
marketing workflow experience
FMCG or Marketing HoldCo experience
experience managing vendors and external partners
demonstrated people leadership/coaching experience
deep understanding of modern IT systems, modular architecture, cloud-native platforms, integration patterns, APIs, and modern data stacks
ability to understand how individual technical features impact the broader digital ecosystem and enterprise architecture
analytical mindset with sharp problem-solving skills and a history of structured thinking to resolve complex technical blockers, manage risk, and simplify ambiguity across large-scale environments
expert-level proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and lifecycle management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and engineering operating models
proven experience in product performance optimisation, utilising experimentation, analytics, telemetry, and data-driven insights to measure success and continuously improve outcomes
ability to challenge technical design decisions, manage technical debts proactively, and ensure products meet security, compliance, resilience, and scalability standards
ability to take full ownership of the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous improvement, ensuring every technical increment aligns with the overall product roadmap and value proposition
skilled in defining and ranking technical user stories, epics, and requirements based on a balance of business value, technical dependency, risk, cost, and long-term product health
ability to connect and translate commercial strategy and high-level capabilities into actionable technical tools that drive business growth, productivity, and user engagement
experience working with design systems and UX/UI design principles to ensure technical products remain user-centric, intuitive, and commercially effective
proven capability to define and own 12–24-month product technical roadmaps, manage competing priorities, and align delivery plans across multiple teams and stakeholders
ability to manage multiple initiatives or products simultaneously, optimise sequencing of investments, and maximise enterprise value creation.
strong understanding of how product decisions impact revenue, cost, efficiency, adoption, and return on investment
proven track record of building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and leaders across a global, matrixed organisation
ability to manage the push-pull between demand (Business Analysts / Commercial stakeholders) and execution (Tech Specialists / Engineering teams), using negotiation to defend the roadmap,
manage expectations, and secure alignment
a connector who can inspire and align cross-functional, dependent product teams or tribes around a unified vision and common outcomes.
confidence and credibility when engaging senior leaders, presenting recommendations, escalating trade-offs, and influencing decisions at Director level and above
experience coaching Technical Product Owners, Business Analysts, and junior product talents to build capability and strengthen product ways of working
excellent English skills.
