Senior Staff Software Engineer (Ruby)

We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader and architect for the new platform, ensuring its scalability, extensibility, and integration across company's ecosystem. What You Will Do

Lead Engineering Excellence & Innovation

• Oversee software design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate to create secure, scalable solutions for enterprise clients.
• Make and communicate impactful technical decisions.
• Ensure code quality and scalability by following best practices.

Collaborate & Deliver High-Impact Solutions

• Work with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering Leaders on technical strategies.
• Identify and address issues during development and delivery.
• Discuss application improvements and feature designs.
• Develop reusable components to enhance efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and manage end-to-end delivery.

Mentor & Contribute to a High-Performance Team

• Mentor junior engineers to elevate technical standards.
• Conduct code reviews for quality and maintainability.
• Promote best practices in performance optimization and CI/CD.
• Contribute to agile development processes.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 5+ years in backend or full-stack application development.
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails and relational databases (MySQL/Aurora).
• Experience with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Understanding of software architecture principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Collaborative skills in a cross-functional environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms (HRSM, ITAM, Employee Service).
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript, Apollo).
• Experience with observability tools (DataDog).
• Prior experience with large-scale service catalog systems.
