Hi there! If you’re looking for a high-impact position in an ambitious software house we’ve got a match for you!

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer for our Norwegian client. You will be involved in a financial project that enables users to manage budgets and debts, collaborating with both banks and private users. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Ruby on Rails to help enhance and scale the platform, ensuring smooth functionality and providing technical leadership within the team.

We are looking for a highly communicative person with good English skills, who think creatively and can talk to the client and develop technical requirements based on this.

This role offers flexible European working hours.

This offer will be a perfect match for you if you have:

  • At least +4 years of experience in a Ruby on Rails Engineer position.
  • Strong coding skills in Ruby, Rails, Sidekiq, AASM, Devise, Swagger, and Protobuf.
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and MSSQL.
  • Proficiency with cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Excellent communication skills to address technical matters with the client.
  • Proficiency in English (minimum B2+ level).

Your main responsibilities for this position will be:

  • Develop new features based on banking sector requirements and emerging use cases.
  • Improve product quality and address customer-facing issues.
  • Align product vision and resolve challenges through regular meetings.
  • Design, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data processing.
  • Manage data loading, storage, and governance within the data warehouse.
  • Automate workflows to enhance performance, reduce costs, and ensure scalability.
  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines, ensuring stability and fault tolerance.
  • Handle schema management, versioning, and dynamic data transformations.
  • Ensure compliance with data regulations, including GDPR.
  • Enable data accessibility through BI tools (e.g., Looker, Metabase).
  • Maintain and enhance system performance and service quality.

It is worth joining us because of:

  • Flexibility - working hours are flexible just like the work mode, you can work remotely or in a hybrid model from our modern office in Warsaw.
  • Great atmosphere - we value a friendly, informal atmosphere, and direct contact with everyone in the company.
  • Outstanding People - we understand that great teams are about personalities, not just skills. Therefore our team accommodates a fantastic blend of individuals and management that removes roadblocks.
  • Modern technologies - we use proven technologies that are currently up-to-date. Even if you have not used all of them, you can make up for it with us!
  • Unlimited possibilities - you’ll get the opportunity to develop your qualifications thanks to sponsorship for industry meetups and conferences and working on challenging international projects with the latest technologies.
  • Private medical care and Multisport - we care about your health and wellbeing so you’ll get access to private medical care for you and your family, and partial funding for a sports card.
