Data Engineer

Mode of operation: 100 % Remote

Type of contract: contract (B2B by Hays Poland)

Length of project: long-term project

Rate: 155 net/h + vat

 Languages: Polish, English – both fluent

Project description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and lead the integration of multiple data sources into a centralized data lake. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, developing dynamic reporting dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external technology partners. This role also includes managing a small team of data engineers and ensuring best practices in data quality and governance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain a centralized data lake architecture.

• Integrate data from various sources including APIs, SaaS platforms, and databases.

• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Fivetran, Zapier, and Make.

• Create and maintain dynamic dashboards in Looker and other BI tools.

• Collaborate with marketing, sales, IT, and external tech partners to align data strategies.

• Manage and mentor a small team of data engineers.

• Lead integration projects with platforms such as Salesforce, Monday.com, GA4, Wordpress, Piano.io, and Inwink (via Webhooks and REST APIs).

• Monitor data quality and implement data governance best practices.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience integrating diverse data sources, building data lakes, and developing dashboards.

• Strong skills in Python, BigQuery, Looker, and GCP.

• Hands-on experience with tools like Fivetran, Zapier, and Make.

• Proven ability to work with APIs and integrate platforms such as Salesforce, Monday.com, GA4, Wordpress, and Piano.io.

• Experience leading data engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
