👉 We are looking for a Software Developer in Test to the project commissioned by the British post, Royal Mail Group. It’s another milestone for our growing relationship with this client (6 years and counting).

The project in question, consists of over 80k rugged handheld mobile devices plus the operating system and applications installed on those devices. In addition, there is currently user administration and reporting capability.

The devices are used to capture barcode scans, as items are progressed through the network. This includes when the item:

🔹 is initially collected,

🔹 is progressed through our network,

🔹 is delivered and handed over to the customer,

In addition to supporting these core operational processes, the device is also used for:

🔹 route optimisation,

🔹 taking safeplace images,

🔹 capturing driving license details,

🔹 tracking items in customer service points,

🔹 collecting GPS coordinates.

 👉 In this role you will be:

🔹 Designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests for web and mobile applications (iOS & Android),

🔹 Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other engineers in an Agile environment,

🔹 Ensuring high test coverage across front-end and back-end components,

🔹 Setting up and maintaining test environments and test data,

🔹 Actively participating in code reviews and contributing to test strategy,

🔹 Supporting CI/CD processes with test automation integration,

🔹 Monitoring test results and identifying root causes of issues,

🔹 Improving and evolving QA tools, frameworks, and best practices.

 👉Qualifications and experience required:

🔹 Experience in testing both mobile (iOS & Android) and web applications,

🔹 Experience in writing automated tests for front-end and back-end layers,

🔹 C#, Appium, RestClient, Nunit, Xunit, Reqnroll,

🔹 Experience with Postman,

🔹 Experience with databases: SQL, Cosmos DB,

🔹 Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps,

🔹 Experience working in Agile environments,

🔹 Very good English – both spoken (we sometimes call each other) and written (most daily communication is on Slack/Teams) – minimum B2 level.
