Senior Java Developer (hybrid)

We are seeking Senior Java Developers who are passionate about solving complex global challenges at scale. In this role, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team building secure, scalable, and high-performing systems that power mission-critical services for a vast customer base. If you have deep experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and modern containerization tools, this is a unique opportunity to make a global impact.

This is a hybrid role based in the Warsaw office (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).

What You'll Do

• Design and build software systems that serve a wide range of users including merchants, B2B, and government solutions.
• Contribute to internal standards for scalability, security, reusability, and product quality.
• Develop and maintain RESTful services using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio for containerization, orchestration, and service mesh.
• Create well-structured, testable, and performant code that adheres to secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps to refine requirements and design scalable solutions.
• Participate in and lead code reviews, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work in agile squads, building next-generation technologies including real-time payments, BNPL platforms, and transaction services.
• Contribute to technical documentation and mentoring team members.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed system design.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Maven, Jenkins.
• Understanding of secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP).
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
