Senior Android Developer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a mission-critical project in the financial sector. This is a unique role that combines mobile expertise with backend development, focusing on building and scaling advanced Android test tools and their supporting infrastructure.

You will be working in a modern environment using Java 21, cloud-native technologies, and cutting-edge AI tools like Claude Code to enhance engineering productivity.

Essential functions

• Full-Stack Ownership: Maintain and develop new features for Android-based testing tools and their dedicated backends.

• Modern Development: Write clean, high-performance code using Java 21 across the mobile and server-side stack.

• System Design: Design and implement REST-based Web Services and integrate them with distributed backend systems.

• Infrastructure: Manage deployment and containerization using Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), and Jenkins pipelines.

• AI Integration: Leverage GenAI and Claude Code to optimize development workflows and stay at the forefront of software engineering trends.

Qualifications

• Mobile: Strong experience in Android development (specifically using Java).

• Backend: Proficiency in Spring Boot and Java 21.

• Data & Integration: Solid knowledge of SQL, REST, and Web Services.

• DevOps: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.

• Tools: Expert-level command of IntelliJ IDEA and Git.

• Seniority: Approximately 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

Would be a plus

• Experience in the financial or fintech sector.

• Passion for Generative AI and its application in coding.

• Experience in building internal developer tools or testing frameworks.
