Senior AI Research Engineer - Multimodal Generative AI

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior AI Research Engineer with expertise in multimodal generative models to join our team. As a Senior AI Research Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and advancing cutting-edge solutions in the field of robotics and embodied AI. We are looking for individuals with a strong background and proven track record in deep learning, large generative models, and development of complex AI systems.

Essential functions

• You will be a part of the RnD team, designing and developing foundation models in the field of robotics and dexterous manipulation
• Lead and contribute to cutting-edge research in multimodal models, robotic perception, and motion generation
• Design, develop, and experiment with novel algorithms, architectures, and techniques that enhance the performance, efficiency, and scalability of our AI models
• Design and implement robotic applications combining conventional computer vision, motion planning, and generative models
• Define data generation, collection, and curation strategies; supervise data collection to scale up our datasets and model capabilities

Qualifications

• Strong engineering ability with Python and PyTorch
• Experience building ML models from scratch in PyTorch
• Academic or professional experience with generative multimodal models such as Diffusion Models and GANs, Transformers
• Experience with physical simulators (Pybullet, IssacSim, Mujoco, etc.) and training RL policies in simulation is a plus
• Experience working with large scale AI training (GPU clusters)
• Strong publication record in deep learning, generative model, multimodal models, computer vision, or RL
• MS or PhD degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
