Lead iOS Engineer/macOS Engineer

We are seeking a Lead iOS/macOS Engineer to join an established project focused on developing an internal application for authoring standardized hardware requirements. The application targets the latest macOS and seamlessly integrates with multiple backend systems through REST APIs and version-controlled repositories.

Essential functions

• Develop and enhance macOS application features using Swift and SwiftUI

• Work with local data models based on SQLite, managed via Swift Data

• Integrate and synchronize data with multiple backend systems using REST APIs

• Implement bidirectional data synchronization based on JSON schemas

• Collaborate with DRIs who provide requirements, test definitions, expected results, and test data

• Follow the provided architecture diagram and contribute to incremental feature delivery

• Ensure all source code is properly versioned and maintained in Git

• Participate in code reviews and merge completed functional blocks into the main branch

• Provide status updates as required and support iterative deployments for feedback and testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

• Strong programming skills in Swift, SwiftUI, and Swift Concurrency

• Experience working with data models and relational databases (e.g. SQL / SQLite)

• Hands-on experience with Git

• Experience integrating applications with REST APIs

• Ability to participate in architectural discussions and design decisions

Would be a plus

• Understanding of UI/UX best practices

• Experience in macOS application development for complex or enterprise-grade products

• Familiarity with hardware-related or testing domains
