Java Developer

We're looking for a Mid-Level Java Developer to join our team working on a dynamic financial services project. If you're passionate about clean code, cloud-native solutions, and want to build scalable services in a modern DevOps environment.

Essential functions

• Write high-quality, maintainable code for software applications, modules, and components. This involves implementing complex features, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback, identify potential issues, ensure code quality and consistency within the team

• Develope and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to validate functionality, performance, and reliability

• Analyze and resolve regular technical issues, including system failures, performance degradation, and security vulnerabilities, through systematic debugging, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams

• Identify performance bottlenecks, optimizing code and system performance, and design scalable architectures to support growing user bases and increasing workloads

• Document code, processes, and procedures to facilitate collaboration among team members and ensure that the software can be maintained and extended in the future

Qualifications

• Solid Java development experience (Spring ecosystem is a plus)

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, etc.)

• Understanding of monitoring/logging tools (e.g. Datadog)

• Experience in microservices architecture and building REST APIs

• Strong problem-solving mindset and good communication skills

Would be a plus

• Experience with Kong API Gateway

• Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging systems (for real-time data streaming)
