We’re looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a fast-paced, cross-functional team responsible for building and maintaining high-performance payment systems for a global financial leader. Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs
- Contribute to system enhancements and performance improvements
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
- Write secure, scalable code using Java, J2EE, Spring, and RESTful APIs
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies
- Ensure production readiness and help troubleshoot operational issues
- Contribute to documentation and deployment processes
- Identify opportunities for automation and technical optimization
Min requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in backend development using Java technologies
- Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring (Boot, MVC), Hibernate, and REST APIs
- Solid experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, Artifactory
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for building reliable, high-quality software
Would be a plus:
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Splunk, Humio) is a plus
- Experience with large-scale enterprise applications
- Exposure to cloud environments and AI-enhanced monitoring
