Software Developer in Test

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer in Test to design and develop a robust testing framework for backend services, covering unit and integration testing. Responsibilities

• Execute backend tests and analyze test results

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests

• Maintain and expand automated testing frameworks for backend applications

• Add and extend test coverage with new unit and integration tests

• Debug test failures

• Actively participate as a member of an Agile/Scrum team

• nteract with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and define the scope of testing

Requirements

• Experience as a QA Engineer / Software Engineer in Test / Tester or in a similar role in backend automation tests

• Strong experience (3+ years) in test automation

• Solid knowledge of Java or Kotlin

• Experience with Gradle for build and test automation

• Hands-on experience with JUnit

• Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines

• Strong understanding of API testing and backend services

• Experience working with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications

• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk

• In-depth knowledge of defect and test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Xray)

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and on large-scale projects

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

• Fluent English (B2+) for collaboration with a German client

• Collaborative mindset, proactive attitude, and strong attention to detail

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
