Senior Data Engineer

Together with our client, who is a leading provider in the automotive industry, we are building Data & Analytics platform, which acts as a central hub for R&D activities, offering various capabilities in data storage, management, simulations, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the Big Data system deployed on-premises
• Develop and implement processes and best practices for data management and governance
• Optimize and enhance system setup and improve data structures following industry best practices
• Collaborate effectively with data engineering team members while partnering closely with analytics and data science teams to meet user needs

Requirements

• 5+ of professional experience in Data Engineering and Big Data
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance and data management frameworks
• Expert level knowledge of Python
• Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI, or related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent work ethic
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Experience with data streaming technologies, particularly Kafka
• Experience with Big Data technologies, such as Druid, Databricks, Hadoop
