We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who designs, implements, and optimizes cloud-based architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient software and services. Acting as a bridge between development and operations, this role combines strong technical expertise with architectural awareness, security best practices, governance, and cost optimisation. Senior DevOps Engineer proactively identifies opportunities for improvement across the software delivery lifecycle, implements solutions, and drives automation to enhance performance, reliability, and developer productivity.

Responsibilities:

CI/CD & Automation 

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. 

• Integrate code quality, security scanning, and dependency management into pipelines (Sonarqube, Renovate, Dependabot). 

• Define reusable GitHub Actions/Workflows for modular pipeline components. 

• Automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, YAML). 

Cloud Architecture & Platform Operations 

• Design and manage scalable, secure cloud-based architectures on Azure, AWS, or GCP. 

• Implement cloud governance, security controls, and cost optimisation strategies. 

• Manage GitHub Enterprise governance, Managed Users, and Teams Automation, integrating with Entra ID. 

• Oversee GitHub Repository Vending, Artifact Repository/Nexus integration, and GitHub Runners lifecycle. 

Security & Compliance 

• Apply infrastructure and application hardening best practices. 

• Manage secrets and credentials (BitWarden) and enforce governance rules. 

• Navigate the GRC-Toolbox, maintain security documentation, and ensure compliance through regular reviews. 

Monitoring, Reliability & Troubleshooting 

• Implement observability solutions for performance monitoring and alerting. 

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for development, staging, and production environments. 

• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures. 

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 

• Work closely with developers, QA, and operations teams to streamline delivery. 

• Research, evaluate, and introduce new tools and platforms that align with organizational needs. 

Skills&Requirements:

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related engineering roles. 

• Proven experience designing and managing cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP). 

• Strong proficiency in IaC (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, YAML). 

• Expertise in CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and GitHub Enterprise governance. 

• Experience integrating security and quality tools (Sonarqube, Renovate) into delivery workflows. 

• Scripting/programming skills in TypeScript, Bash, and Python. 

• Knowledge of security frameworks, IDS/IPS, and cloud security principles. 

• Familiarity with cost optimisation strategies and governance processes. 

• Industry certifications (Azure, AWS, CNCF) preferred. 

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
