Job description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in software development.

  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.


Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in one or more of the following coding languages: Go, Java, Python.

  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, including setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving project execution.

  • 3 years of experience with software development in training, developing or applying machine learning models.

  • Experience with building Integrated Development Environment (IDEs) or Enterprise Software.

You will develop server and middleware code that implements functionalities interacting with Google's latest LLMs. You will work closely with top researchers, engineers, and product managers from both Google Cloud AI and Google Research, developing challenging machine learning solutions that directly contribute to Google's product excellence. You will also develop features that integrate next-generation large language models with a balanced trade-off between performance and deployment constraints.Additionally, you will improve application performance in areas like information retrieval, search, recommendations, conversational understanding, dialogue summarization, and content moderation.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition and drive the implementation of the technical goal, strategy, and architecture for GenAI-powered developer tools, ensuring alignment with the mission to enhance developer productivity.

  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, site reliability engineers (SREs), and engineers across Google Cloud AI to translate product and non-functional requirements into tangible product features.

  • Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to make decision on available technologies and approaches.

  • Triage product or system issues and then debug, track, resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side systems within the scope of Gemini Code Assist.
