Software Engineer III, Infrastructure, Google Cloud Networking

Responsibilities

• Build new solutions and products to make it easy (or zero-configuration) for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers to deploy Mutual TLS to every part of their infrastructure.
• Extend the Cloud Certificate Manager (CCM) service to manage, provision and renew Secure Socket Layer (SSL) X.509 certificates, and further its integration with Cloud services and certification authorities.
• Design and implement OnePlatform APIs using canonical Google infrastructure such as Cloud Control Front End (CCFE) and Pod.
• Work on control, management and data planes.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• General knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/UDP and TLS/SSL.
• Domain knowledge related to Public Key Infrastructure, X.509, SSL/TLS, mTLS, Pod and CCFE.
• Excellent unit/integration testing skills.
