We are expanding our teams in the Space sector to take on SST/STM projects.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will join GMV's SST and STM multidisciplinary team located across several countries, with several projects currently on-going. In particular, you will work within the Polish team taking care of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM) activities for customers like the European Space Agency and national administrations in Poland such as the POLSA. You will work for the operations and development of SST systems and the execution of R&D studies.

The concrete tasks to be performed focus on engineering and software development activities around orbit determination, object characterization, attitude estimation, collision risk estimation, sensor data analysis, manoeuvre optimization, space sustainability, etc.

Artificial Intelligence algorithms are more and more often being applied to some of the previous topics.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for a highly motivated AEROSPACE ENGINEER, or equivalent academic qualification, to work with the team for its activities in the areas of SST and STM, including R&D tasks, software development and related engineering and analysis activities.

We are looking for candidates with knowledge and interest in:

• Orbital mechanics
• Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM) related concepts
• Basic software programming knowledge

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

• Python / Java / Fortran
• Linux
• Machine Learning
• Docker
• Relational databases
• Experience on a similar position
