Senior Backend Engineer

Role Overview

Given our exciting and progressive growth plans, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Back-End Engineer to come join our global business.

Working collaboratively in a cross-functional product team within a tribe, you will be accountable for designing and developing applications and coordinating with the rest of the team working on different layers of Fresha.

Your profile:

• Excellent, practical knowledge of Ruby AND/OR Elixir (or other to be honest;))
• Passion to design and build great software architecture and well-structured, easily maintainable code that balances beauty and pragmatism
• Solid experience in writing complex web applications and web APIs
• Experience in working with and optimising transactional databases
• Experience in optimising back-end applications
• Good English communication skills, self-organisation and teamwork

Nice to have:

• Experience in writing real-life Elixir/Phoenix applications (no worries, we can teach you that!)
• Knowledge of functional programming in general
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and/or Redis
• Experience with distributed architectures, message queues and RPCs
• Knowledge of other programming languages (eg. JavaScript, Python)
