What youll be doing

• Creating themes for WordPress in full-stack methodology (both front-end and back-end)

• Development of plugins for WordPress, integrators and specific functionalities

• Development of our proprietary framework - Wombat - prepared specifically for WordPress, and a library of modules

• Participation in group projects (with the participation of several developers)

• Keeping up with the latest WordPress trends, best practices, and updates to ensure optimal implementation

Who you are

• Tech skills

  • Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, including file structure, custom post types, database schema, and core mechanisms (e.g. WP_Query, wpdb etc),

  • Practical knowledge of WordPress coding standards and best practices,

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, object-oriented PHP code,

  • Experience with the Gutenberg editor (cutom blocks, block patterns, extending of core blocks),

  • Good knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+),

  • Experience working with Git in a team-based development workflow

  Soft skills

  • Clear and effective communication skills,

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities,

  • Proven problem-solving skills,

  • Ability to work effectively in an agency environment, across multiple projects and changing priorities,

  • Experience delivering MVPs and proof-of-concept solutions under time and scope constraints.

  Nice to have:

  • Experience with AI-powered IDEs (e.g., Cursor) to accelerate development velocity.

  • Proficiency in leveraging AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) for code optimization and debugging.
