Backend Engineer

Every month, over a million people in Poland turn to us when they need something done: I need somebody to fix my door handles in Poznań, who can help? Fixly.pl matches these people with service providers in their area, in real time, location-aware, across tens of thousands of providers in dozens of categories.

To make this work, and to keep improving it, we're looking for a back-end engineer who's genuinely curious about the full picture — and enjoys going beyond their lane when the problem calls for it.

If you like...

• Owning your work end-to-end: you ship it, it's yours

• Working in a small team with little bureaucracy

• Having real input on product direction, not just being asked for technical opinions

• Getting your hands into infra, frontend, mobile, or data when the problem calls for it

And you...

• Have solid experience engineering reliable, production-grade services in Node.js and TypeScript

• Have worked with at least some of these: Go, GraphQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, Docker/k8s

• Are curious by nature and eager to learn: beyond your current skill set, including using AI tools where appropriate

• Are based in Poland, and can travel to our Poznań location occasionally (roughly once a month, for a day or two)
