System Administrator

I am in need of an experienced System Administrator.

Someone who can step in and be a part of an existing team providing SLA (Service Level Agreement) to existing customers. Someone who can also travel onboard vessels and participate in installing servers, computers, printers, various communication methods (VSAT, Starlink, Iridium, phone systems….).

Basically - with knowledge of how to operate servers, clients, applications, communication methods, FireWalls, networks, security all levels of Microsoft servers, backup etc.

But NOT limited to this!

Also being able to provide consultancy services to all areas of deliveries and input to developing our business and concepts.

Also I need this resource “on location” – here in Trojmiasto.

And someone who is flexible and can travel for installations or on-prem assignments.

Someone who will love “putting in the xtra hours for the team”.

Are you such a resource ?

Because if you are not then we simply need to just be honest with each other and admit that we are not a match at this point ?

Remote upgrades of software

Implementation of new software

Prepara new installations

Setup of IP plan, network structure, VLANs, server/computers/users/printer etc. for new vessels

Install first physical server

Define and install all virtual servers

Prepara config for FireWall

Install server, FireWall and main switch in lab

Complete all updates and load all available software

Perform installation

All equipment onboard

Map out existing network (after first having audited the vessel of course)

Introduce new server in existing network and start copying data from old server

Secure personal data from existing client computers

Install new main switch and satellite switches where possible

Remove existing equipment and install new (computers etc.)

Move locations/computers over to new switch

Move save data over to new client computers (Documents, Bookmarks/password, some Appdata...)

Start up new client computers and verify access to expected data and new server(s)

FInalize installation of software/application on client computers and servers

Label all units and switches

Walkthru with selected personnel

Remove old hardware

Document through pictures and network diagram

Sometimes installations also require custom clearance operations before transporting to installation site and corresponding customs clearance on the installation site
