UX Designer

Location: 2 days per week from the office in Warsaw

Start Date: ASAP / within 1 month

About the Role:

We are looking for a UX Designer to join the VDC (Virtual Data Center) team. The role focuses on enhancing the user experience for Capacity Planners working across 220+ Data Centers, using a custom-built application. This position offers a unique opportunity to design and conduct research for 2D and 3D mapping interfaces.

Responsibilities:

User Research and Usability

• Plans and administers quantitative and qualitative user research projects

• Assists in selecting appropriate research methodologies to optimize data collection

• Interacts with stakeholders to gather requirements and set expectations

• Creates user scenarios and stories to support collaboration with other teams

• Leads user research sessions

• Analyzes research findings to influence design and development

• Produces UX deliverables for user focus groups and data collection

• Leverages and consumes research insights when creating UX deliverables

  
  

Information Architecture

• Designs organization and categorization schemas within information systems

• Develops navigation structures that support intuitive wayfinding

• Ensures consistent navigation across complementary sites and applications

• Structures and classifies content to improve information discovery and management

• Designs information spaces that support efficient task completion and content access

  
  

Interaction Design

• Develops UX deliverables such as task flows, IA diagrams, design studies, wireframes and high-fidelity mockups

• Leads, presents and defends design concepts during design reviews with stakeholders

• Executes interaction design as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Researches interaction design trends

  
  

Visual/UI Design

• Collaborates cross-functionally to build a design language aligned with user needs and brand identity

• Designs and delivers visual mockups, layouts and specifications for application look and feel (color, shape, typography, etc.)

• Contributes to design specifications and style guides, creating new sections when needed

• Works with development teams to ensure design specifications are properly implemented

  
  

UX Strategy

• Applies critical thinking to complex user problems, balancing user needs, business objectives and technical constraints

  
  

Prototyping

• Determines the need for prototypes based on functional complexity and requirements

• Designs and produces visual or interaction components for clickable UI walkthroughs or coded prototypes

• Shares prototypes through design reviews or individual usability sessions

  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in UX design preferred

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent

• Strong experience with user research and usability

• Experience designing for complex, data heavy or technical systems

• Experience working with 2D and/or 3D mapping interfaces or spatial data

• Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping and creating high fidelity mockups

• Collaboration skills with engineering teams

• Very good command of English for daily communication
