Senior Python Developer – GCP & Generative AI

We are looking for a seasoned Python Developer to join a cutting-edge project focused on building scalable, cloud-native AI solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain Python applications leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Generative AI technologies. This role includes building data ingestion pipelines, integrating GenAI models, implementing observability, ensuring security and compliance, and delivering high-quality APIs and CLIs.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable Python applications using GCP services.

• Integrate Generative AI models using Google GenAI SDK, Vertex AI, and LangChain.

• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines.

• Develop APIs (Flask) and CLI tools.

• Ensure observability using OpenTelemetry and structured logging.

• Implement security and compliance measures (IAM, Google DLP).

• Mentor a junior developer and promote best practices.

• Optimize performance and reliability of cloud-native solutions.

Must Have:

• Strong Python expertise (concurrency, multiprocessing, clean architecture).

• Proven experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Firestore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Logging, Cloud Trace, Workflows.

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI: Google GenAI SDK, Vertex AI, LangChain.

• API development using Flask and CLI tools.

• Security and compliance knowledge: IAM, impersonated credentials, Google DLP.

• Proficiency in Pydantic models and settings.

• Strong knowledge of data formats (CSV, JSON) and libraries like pandas.

• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with document processing: PyPDF2/pypdf, pdf2image, pytesseract, python-docx, openpyxl.

• Observability with OpenTelemetry (Cloud Trace exporter, propagator) and structured logging.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of Python development experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in cloud-based (GCP) production systems.

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies.
