Freelance Backend Developer

Mission: Build robust, scalable backend services that power a trusted marketplace connecting tenants and landlords across the UK.

NOTE: This is a short time, project based, B2B engagement and can transform into long term collaboration so do not hesitate to apply even if you are available few hours weekly! We are only accept Candidates from European Union.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop containerized microservices using Django/FastAPI

• Implement complex business logic for listings, matching algorithms, and trust scoring

• Design and optimize database schemas (Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)

• Build payment orchestration services with Stripe Connect integration

• Implement authentication and authorization with AWS Cognito/Auth0

• Create APIs for real-time messaging, notifications, and group features

• Ensure PCI compliance and security best practices

• Build integration framework for PMS systems

Required Skills:

• 5+ years backend development experience

• Expertise in Python (Django/FastAPI) or .NET Core

• Strong experience with AWS services (Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS)

• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes

• Knowledge of payment processing and PCI compliance

• Strong understanding of API design and RESTful principles

• Experience with database optimization and caching strategies

Nice to Have:

• Experience with property management systems (PMS) integration

• Background in FinTech or payment platforms

• Knowledge of AI/ML for matching algorithms

• Experience with event-driven architectures
