Senior Mainframe Administrator

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe systems management and a passion for ensuring the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure. Tasks: 

• Manage and maintain mainframe systems to ensure high availability and performance 
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and installations 
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation 
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect mainframe data 
• Collaborate with application developers to optimize mainframe applications 
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures 
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators 
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures 
• Stay updated with the latest mainframe technologies and best practices 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 
• 5+ years of experience as a Mainframe Administrator or in a similar role 
• Proficiency in mainframe operating systems such as z/OS, z/VM, or z/VSE 
• Strong knowledge of mainframe hardware and software components 
• Experience with mainframe security protocols and compliance standards 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
