Senior Full-Stack DevSecOps Engineer

Location: 2 days per week from the office (Wrocław)

Tasks:

• Develop and maintain Backstage plugins, templates, catalog configurations, and UI extensions for the company's Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

• Extend and customize Backstage Software Catalog and UI.

• Create golden path templates and workflow integrations.

• Integrate golden path workflows such as CI/CD blueprints, IaC templates, and security patterns directly into Backstage.

• Standardize service creation and provisioning.

• Ensure workflow consistency across development teams.

• Enhance discoverability, consistency, and usability across developer workflows.

• Implement MCP-compatible tools, LLM assistants, and AI-driven capabilities.

• Provide contextual help, troubleshooting, documentation summarization.

• Enable intelligent code generation and service scaffolding.

• Build and maintain AI toolchains, including embeddings, vector stores, and RAG pipelines.

• Develop internal knowledge search and documentation retrieval systems.

• Develop secure and scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, Python.

• Build front-end components with React and the Backstage framework.

• Implement integrations with cloud services and platform tools, including identity providers, secrets management, repositories, artifact stores, and deployment systems.

• Support lifecycle automation for service creation and maintenance.

• Embed secure-by-default standards into Backstage templates.

• Integrate security automation such as SAST, SCA, DAST, SBOM, and policy‑as‑code into developer workflows.

• Enable guardrails and compliance automation via Backstage plugins.

• Collaborate with platform engineering, cloud, security, and Golden Path teams.

• Support platform adoption through demos, documentation, training, and outreach.

• Act as subject matter expert on Backstage and AI-driven developer experience.

Requirements:

• Experience developing custom Backstage plugins, templates, and enterprise developer portals.

• Familiarity with Backstage Software Catalog and scaffolder.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Experience with Python, Go, or cloud‑native backend development is a plus.

• DevSecOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, build/release automation, GitOps, artifact management, and standardized service delivery.

• Experience working with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AKS and cloud platforms (preferably Azure).

• Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible.

• Experience with AI and automation, including MCP integrations, LLM assistants, vector databases, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.

• Understanding of SSO/identity, RBAC, secrets management, compliance, and software supply chain security.

• Ability to embed policies and guardrails into developer workflows.

• Strong empathy for developers and passion for improving developer experience.

• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
