Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Occasional visits to the office in Katowice or Warsaw

Salary: 150 – 180 PLN net/h (B2B via Experis)

We are looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about building resilient, observable, and automated systems. The ideal candidate enjoys leading teams, driving operational excellence, and implementing DevOps best practices across diverse technology stacks.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor & troubleshoot production systems, proactively resolving issues and improving reliability.

• Lead and mentor a growing team across multiple locations.

• Drive observability, incident/problem management, and root cause analysis.

• Plan capacity and assess system health to ensure optimal performance.

• Manage SLAs, holding teams accountable for service quality.

• Ensure IT control compliance, supporting audits with evidence.

• Automate operations using bots and runners to streamline infrastructure tasks.

• Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Generate production reports on availability, reliability, and performance.

• Occasionally respond to business service requests, such as backup restores.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in leading DevOps or SRE teams and establishing scalable processes.

• Deep expertise in Windows systems administration, especially with ASP.NET/.NET Core apps on IIS.

• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix, Tomcat, networking, and RDBMS (Oracle/MSSQL).

• Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and observability tools.

• Solid understanding of DevOps and SRE principles, including automation, incident response, and performance optimization.

• Holding an MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

• Demonstrating Agile Ways of Working and staying ahead of tech trends.
