Quality Engineering Lead

Location: 100% remote work (Poland) 

Start Date: ASAP / within 1 month

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the design and implementation of test approaches across a group of test teams or programmes of work

• Recruit, lead, mentor, coach, develop and manage test contractors embedded in multidiscipline teams

• Work closely with the Test Team Lead to share quality best practices and standards ensuring alignment with overall product strategy and work priorities

• Collaborate with other discipline leads to establish quality best practices and drive process improvements

• Provide regular updates to the Test Manager on the performance and challenges of remote contractors, including detailed status reporting

• Offer test expertise and guidance to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear communication of strategy, product fit and effectiveness

• Advocate and implement agile and lean development and testing principles, promoting continuous improvement and efficiency

• Empower test contractors to participate in troubleshooting and issue resolution throughout the product life cycle

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and lead continuous improvement initiatives and innovation

• Monitor and report on test progress, quality metrics and overall team performance

  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience in backend automation testing (e.g., APIs, microservices, databases)

• Strong leadership and team management skills, ideally with experience leading remote or distributed teams

• Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., JS/TS, Python, REST Assured, Postman)

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing processes

• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
