About the Role:

The VCE Sales & Finance Analytics team is on the lookout for a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic environment. We process financial and sales data to deliver cutting-edge data products to customers across the globe. Our mission? To unlock the full potential of data and empower our clients to become fully operational, data-driven enterprises.

What We Do:

• Build a Common Data Platform: We focus on migrating and re-designing solutions from on-premises platforms to the Azure cloud.
• Deliver Interactive Reports: Empowering customers with actionable insights to achieve their goals.
• Data Ingestion & Replication: Ensuring seamless data flow into our shared cloud platform.
• Standardize Tools & Reporting Layers: Transforming BI solutions from platforms like SAP into the Azure ecosystem.
• Develop Data Pipelines: Facilitating data integration between platforms such as Azure, SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, and MS Dynamics 365.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows.
• Optimize and migrate data solutions to Azure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data platforms to ensure high availability and performance.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Experience with Azure Databricks (Unity Catalog, workflows, Python, Spark/PySpark).
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory and MSSQL.
• Proficiency with ADLS Blob Storage (Delta tables, Parquets).
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Advanced SQL skills and a strong analytical mindset.
• Problem-solving and task analysis capabilities.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Event Hub and IoT Hub.

Soft Skills:

• Open-minded and eager to learn.
• Highly engaged and proactive in driving topics forward.
• Strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively with IT and business stakeholders.
