Data Engineer (GCP)

Location: 100% remote

Tasks:

• Working with Cloud Storage to manage and organize data

• Creating datasets and tables in BigQuery

• Managing data transfers, scheduling, and using BigQuery Notebook (Python/API)

• Building and automating data pipelines using cloud services

• Scheduling event‑driven tasks

• Writing Python scripts for data uploads, transformations, and automation

• Using API requests to extract and integrate data from external sources

• Writing SQL queries for joining tables, filtering, aggregating, calculating, and modifying data

• (Optional) Creating data models from multiple data sources for analytics

• (Optional) Building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or Power BI

Requirements:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (ideally Google, but AWS/Azure acceptable)

• Proficiency in Cloud Storage management

• Strong BigQuery skills including dataset/table creation, scheduling, data transfers, and Notebook use

• Experience with building and automating data pipelines

• Python skills for data upload, transformation, and automation scripting

• Experience working with APIs for data extraction and integration

• Strong SQL skills (joins, filtering, aggregations, calculations, data modification)

• Tableau/Power BI skills are optional, as these can be taught
