We are looking for an experienced Backend Data Specialist with at least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related backend data domains.This role focuses on extracting, transforming, and processing ServiceNow / ITSM data to support enterprise‑wide reporting, analytics, and data governance initiatives.

The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑quality data pipelines, while closely collaborating with ServiceNow architects, analytics engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable analytical solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for ServiceNow / ITSM data.

• Extract, normalize, and transform data from ServiceNow using APIs and backend processing tools.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across analytical datasets.

• Store and manage data using modern Lakehouse and Fabric‑based architectures.

• Enable enterprise reporting and analytics through scalable, well‑modeled datasets.

• Collaborate with front‑end analytics engineers on Power BI semantic models and performance optimization.

• Support governance, documentation, version control, and DevOps best practices.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in:

  • Data engineering

  • Analytics engineering

  • Backend data processing or related roles

• Strong understanding of:

  • Data mining

  • Data processing techniques

  • Scalable data storage and architecture design

• High proficiency in:

  • SQL

  • Power Automate

  • Backend programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar)

• Proven, hands‑on experience with ServiceNow / ITSM data, including:

  • Data extraction

  • Normalization

  • Transformation

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure, including:

  • Lakehouse architecture

  • Data Pipelines

  • Dataflows

  • Semantic models

  • Modern Fabric‑based engineering patterns

• Advanced experience with Power BI, including:

  • Data modeling

  • DAX

  • XMLA connectivity

  • Performance tuning and optimization

• Experience working with APIs for:

  • Data ingestion

  • System integration

  • Data synchronization
