We are seeking a Technical Service Manager to take responsibility for the internal client IT application.
This application is an IT solution for handling global logistics and export processes.
In this position, you will oversee the full lifecycle of the application, ensuring its continuous availability, effectiveness, and security.
As the Technical Service Manager, you will lead service level compliance, manage escalations, coordinate change initiatives, and drive the implementation of software modules and service components across a broad technology landscape. You will also play a key role in technical leadership, incident and problem management, and the ongoing improvement of this mission-critical platform.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze technical and business requirements from end users and customers.
Manage events, incidents, and problems related to software and hardware infrastructure.
Handle 2nd and 3rd level application incidents, including bug fixing, development, testing, change requests, monitoring, and user support.
Plan and execute scheduled maintenance and software installations/upgrades.
Implement necessary error corrections and coordinate with relevant interfaces and delivery units.
Design system architecture and solutions for complex and non-standard elements, collaborating with other service providers as needed.
Plan and design IT components such as databases, servers, functional users, mailboxes, licenses, IT certificates, and specialized IT services.
Ensure compliance with service levels and manage escalations for the system process.
Maintain continuous availability, effectiveness, and security of the application and infrastructure.
Participate in change prioritization and effort estimation.
Oversee the implementation of software modules and service components.
Provide technical leadership and coordinate support and development teams.
Serve as the global contact for incident, service request, problem, and escalation management.
Support demand and development process management.
Prepare technical effort estimates and manage complex customer requirements, including design, architecture, and global coordination.
Analyze customer requirements and prepare specifications and test plans for decision-making and implementation.
Create and maintain technical documentation in TFS and relevant content systems.
Monitor and coordinate information security requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior software developer
Excellent oral and written German communication skills – B2 level or higher
Proficiency in .NET and ASP.NET programming languages
Knowledge and ability for software development with C#
Database developer knowledge, specifically Oracle SQL statements for problem analysis and solution
Expertise in HTML/XML
Advanced experience with MS IIS
Expert knowledge in designing solutions/systems, defining architecture, and creating code
Ability to analyze and solve problems in complex and distributed systems with transitions and interfaces to other services (e.g., SAP, EDI-Clearing, SIECUS, etc.)
Technological knowledge of the architecture of web applications with databases
Application support knowledge for Windows servers and web application servers to ensure operation
High customer orientation
Ability to interact and work with people from different cultures and countries
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at the management level;
