Position: Solution Manager with German (Pre-Sales)

Role Overview

The Solution Manager with German plays a critical role in supporting pre-sales activities by designing optimal business and technical solutions tailored to the needs of German-speaking clients. This position involves close collaboration with sales teams, architects, technical experts, and external partners to deliver competitive, compliant, and value-driven proposals in response to RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes.

As a key link between client business requirements and our technical capabilities, the Solution Manager ensures that proposed solutions are feasible, innovative, and aligned with company strategy and standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support sales teams during the pre-sales process by analyzing client needs and defining solution strategies.

  • Design and document comprehensive technical and service solutions for German-speaking markets.

  • Collaborate with IT architects, consultants, and domain experts to develop solution designs, cost estimations, and delivery models.

  • Prepare and review proposal documentation (Solution Descriptions, Technical Annexes, presentations, and supporting materials).

  • Participate in customer meetings, presenting and explaining proposed solutions from both business and technical perspectives.

  • Contribute to bid management activities, ensuring solutions comply with internal governance and client requirements.

  • Monitor technology and market trends in the DACH region to identify opportunities for portfolio growth.

  • Ensure high-quality communication and documentation in both German and English.


Requirements

  • University degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related fields.

  • 3–5 years of experience in pre-sales, solution management, or IT consulting.

  • Fluent in German (B2/C1) and English (B2/C1) – both written and spoken.

  • Strong ability to create professional presentations and business/technical documentation.

  • Solid understanding of IT solutions (cloud, infrastructure, security, or applications).

  • Experience working in an international, cross-functional environment.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with global IT service providers or system integrators.

  • Knowledge of public and commercial tendering processes.

  • Certifications such as ITIL®, TOGAF®, PRINCE2®, PMP® or similar in architecture or project management.

  • Familiarity with bid management tools and processes.

  • Familiarity with bid management tools and processes.
