We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Engineer with in-depth experience in container orchestration and infrastructure automation to join our client’s team, a global leader in financial services. In this role, you will manage, optimize, and secure large-scale Kubernetes environments to support mission-critical applications and services. Your expertise in Kubernetes and supporting technologies will help ensure a reliable, efficient, and scalable infrastructure that meets industry standards for performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications and ensure optimal performance across development, staging, and production environments.
- Build, configure, and manage Docker containers, ensuring smooth deployment and scalability for diverse applications.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Create and optimize scripts in Python and Bash to support automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting tasks, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Monitor Kubernetes clusters, analyze performance metrics, and implement optimizations to ensure consistent reliability and high availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and maintain operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing expertise on containerization best practices and assisting with implementation of DevOps workflows.
- Document Kubernetes and container processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures, contributing to team knowledge and operational continuity.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations and handle critical issues as needed.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kubernetes Engineer or similar role, with deep knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in using Ansible for automation, along with scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- Strong understanding of container orchestration, infrastructure as code (IaC), and CI/CD principles.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for Kubernetes environments, with experience in performance tuning.
- Expertise in Linux operating systems, IT systems security and networks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to maintaining robust and secure systems.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with development, operations, and business teams.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for Kubernetes deployments.
- Background in high-scale, regulated environments, with knowledge of security and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, and experience working in agile environments.
