File Transfer Engineer (rvsEVO)

We are seeking a knowledgeable File Transfer Engineer with specialized expertise in rvsEVO to join our client’s team, a leader in secure, high-volume data transfer solutions for the financial services sector. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing secure file transfers across diverse platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and regulatory compliance. Your role will involve leveraging rvsEVO and supporting technologies to ensure critical data flows are managed seamlessly and securely.

Key Technologies:

• Core Requirement: rvsEVO (MUST)
• File Transfer Platforms: IBM Sterling Connect on Windows and Unix (nice to have)
• Management and Monitoring Tools: IBM Sterling Control Center, IBM Sterling Web Console
• Security and Proxy Solutions: IBM Sterling Secure Proxy
• Additional Tools: JSCAPE (nice to have)
• Scripting Languages: C, SQL Scripting, Shell Scripting, PowerShell

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and optimize rvsEVO for secure and efficient file transfers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitoring and managing file transfer processes.
• Overseeing secure external file transfers, ensuring data integrity and adherence to security protocols.
• Develop and maintain scripts in C Scripting, SQL, Shell, and PowerShell to automate tasks, streamline operations, and reduce manual processes.
• Troubleshoot file transfer issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and enhance operational reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expertise on secure file transfer protocols and help design, implement, and improve data transfer workflows.
• Document file transfer processes, configurations, and procedures, contributing to operational continuity and knowledge sharing.
• Willingness to participate in shift planning and weekend operational support.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a File Transfer Engineer or similar role, with significant expertise in rvsEVO.
• Familiarity with IBM Sterling Connect on Windows and Unix, along with experience using IBM Sterling Control Center and Web Console.
• Proficiency in scripting with C, SQL, Shell, and PowerShell for task automation and optimization.
• Solid understanding of secure file transfer protocols and encryption standards, with experience managing IBM Sterling Secure Proxy.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to ensuring reliable and secure file transfers.
• Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical and business teams.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JSCAPE or similar file transfer platforms.
• Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
