Senior Power BI Developer & Administrator

Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)

The Business Intelligence Center of Expertise (BI CoE) seats within the GDC Tribe AIR Analytics Insights & Reporting" (AIR) and s in charge of the development of Management, Regulatory and Client reports through Cognos and Power BI with a strong push to use Power BI (Cloud version).

We are looking for a skilled PowerBI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing advanced PowerBI dashboards, creating paginated reports, managing PowerBI administration tasks, and working with PowerBI data sources. This role will be critical in enabling our organization to make data-driven decisions through effective data visualization and reporting solutions.

Role:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboard solutions using UI/UX
• You will identify the right balance between Cost and Quality/Completeness.
• Design, develop, and implement interactive and visually appealing PowerBI dashboards.
• Ensure a full testing for reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain paginated reports using PowerBI Report Builder.
• Optimize reports for performance and ensure they meet user requirements.
• Manage and administer PowerBI service, including workspace management, data gateway configuration, and user access control.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of the PowerBI environment.
• Implement best practices for security, data governance, and compliance within PowerBI.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including both on prem and cloud-based data sources like SQL, Oracle, Mainframe, Hadoop databases, files, O365 sources
• Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Create and manage semantic models to centralize and standardize data for use across multiple reports and dashboards.
• Staying up to date with the latest Power BI Microsoft features (Server, Services, Fabric) and best practice to excel in this role.
• Propose and implement enhancements to existing PowerBI solutions to improve usability and functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Migrate existing Cognos reports to PowerBI
• Support the users in their development and usage of the Reporting tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in developing PowerBI dashboards
• You have technical skills and a good business understanding/interest.
• You master Power BI and in particular the Cloud edition (Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query)
• Good knowledge of Aure Synapse, Power Platform stacks
• Experience with PowerBI administration, including workspace management and security settings.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with integrating data from various sources.
• You can model data using Kimball, Dimensional modelling and Data Vault
• Experience with Cognos BI reporting is a plus
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence methodology and agile development methods such as SCRUM is clearly an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division contributes to Euroclear’s competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that does not compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
