Product Owner (Corporate support: Finance, HR, IT)

Product Owner represents the business within the squad, is first entry point for all demand and reflects the accepted demand on the backlog of the squad. He/she prioritizes this demand according to the highest business value (taking into account strategic priorities set at the epic and feature level) and keeping the banking license. Product Owner is assigned to 1 or more squads having no or less dependencies intra-squad
Description:
Guardian of Product fitness for purpose (for product of limited complexity, uncertainty and dependencies, for example: mature product reaching end of lifecycle, limited and well defined operational scope, etc.)
Identify the stakeholder / customers and able to guide the squad towards customer centricity and links the business value to the backlog
Work closely with Epic Owner and TPO to constantly maximizing the business value resulting from work on the squad (co-own the business objectives)
Share and implement the business vision
Take ownership of the product with a end-to-end view incl. functional and non functional aspects of the product (acting as the CEO of the product)
Representative of business needs, orientations and priorities
Manage the Product Backlog, making sure it is complete, transparent and understood
Effectively write stories and know how to slice these
Oversee delivery stages and ensure that all risks (e.g. CSDR requirements, compliance, security, architecture, procurement, finance, licenses) are identified and addressed
May receive some support and guidance from senior colleagues (to take decisions, manage backlog, etc.)
Actively looks for feedback and acts on improvements suggested by the squad
Role:
Collect and federate the opinions of the business stakeholders (business sponsor, marketing, legal, ...) before impulse of work within the squad
Define the stories definition of ready and definition of done with the squad
Manage Product Backlog* with support and guidance of senior colleagues (for product of limited complexity, uncertainty and dependencies, for example: mature product reaching end of lifecycle, limited and well defined scope, etc.)
- Refine Features together with the TPO/ Epic Owner
- Break down Features into Product Backlog Items (stories) and ensure the squad understands them to the level needed
- Prioritize the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions (as stated by the TPO/ Epic Owner)
- Refine Product Backlog according to changes in functional and non functional requirements
- Make the Product Backlog clear and transparent
Facilitate the demonstration at the end of a Sprint
Define and pilot the Product/ Business KPIs with support and guidance of senior colleagues
Identify external constraints impacting objectives and propose corrective action plan
Validate / test the stories Done to be presented during demo by the squad – Accept or reject the realized stories and Features
Ensure that value delivered is always in line with business needs and expectations
Define with the squad the Sprint and the content of each one
Manage risks (e.g. compliance, security, procurement/finance/liceses) with a holistic and end-to-end approach
Manage expectations of all stakeholders (limited complexity in managing stakeholders, for example: few stakeholders, internal stakeholders, etc.)
Assess and demonstrate value delivered (e.g. squad health check board) at squad level
