Engineering Squad Lead

We are seeking a passionate GBS Funds Squad Lead to join our growing team in Krakow. In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary squad responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Euroclear’s funds applications. You will collaborate closely with teams in Sweden and France to deliver integrated solutions across borders. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will combine technical expertise with team management, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities

• Squad Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts, and testers. Foster a collaborative, agile, and high-performance culture.

• Hands-on Technical Contribution: Actively participate in design, development, and troubleshooting. Lead by example in code quality, automation, and best practices.

• Cross-Border Collaboration: Coordinate with peer squads and stakeholders in Sweden and France to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and delivery of integrated solutions.

• Product Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of funds applications, from requirements gathering to deployment and support, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization, automation, and adoption of new technologies. Encourage innovation and proactive problem-solving within the squad.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for business and IT stakeholders regarding squad deliverables, priorities, and challenges.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading agile software delivery teams, ideally in the financial services or funds domain.

• Strong technical background in .NET, C#, Microservice design (Azure Function, Azure Web App), REACT, Angular with hands-on experience in application development, automation, and modern software engineering practices.

• Experience working in or with distributed teams across multiple countries.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and address both technical and business challenges.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and DevOps practices.

• Experience with legacy system modernization and integration is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in the funds industry or with Euroclear’s FundsPlace platform.

• Exposure to performance, security, and regulatory requirements in financial IT environments.

• Experience onboarding and developing new teams, especially in a fast-growing location like Krakow.
