Freelance Senior QA Automation Engineer

Key Duties and Requirements: A Roadmap to Your Professional Success 🚀
Scope of responsibilities:
- Participating in Scrum team testing activities and supporting test strategy execution.
- Promoting testing knowledge within the Agile team and assisting developers with testing.
- Sharing expertise in testing tools and encouraging improvements.
- Defining metrics and promoting testing awareness across Engineering.
- Implementing a shift-left approach and defining test data requirements.
- Reviewing requirements and user stories for feedback.
- Designing, developing, and running automation scripts and frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured).
- Managing continuous integration (Jenkins) and leading the team toward continuous testing.
- Collaborating closely with Software/Test Engineers and Product Managers to meet objectives.
- Engaging in exploratory testing and improving product quality.
- Coaching other SDETs and developers.
Here’s a set of skills we require:
- 8+ years of experience in Test Automation.
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools (e.g., JIRA), and processes.
- Proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript with hands-on experience in automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured).
- Experience with DevOps, Gradle, Jenkins, and Docker.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to identify flaws in testing processes, toolsets, and infrastructure, and propose necessary improvements.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English (at least C1).
Nice to have:
- Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Skill in combining automation with manual testing, particularly exploratory testing.
