Specifically, the eSkill application lets hiring and training managers configure tests from our extensive subject library to match their hiring and training needs and reduce the risk of hiring failures and discrimination litigation.
Required skills and experience:
- Education: a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Programming knowledge: solid understanding of core Java concepts such as object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
- At least 2 years of commercial Java programming experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring Boot/Jakarta EE and JPA/Hibernate.
- Proven fluency in relational databases (SQL).
- Problem-solving skills: a demonstrated ability to approach complex problems logically and effectively.
- Learning mindset: a genuine passion for software development and a willingness to learn new technologies and best practices.
- Communication skills: ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, both in writing and verbally.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum).
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch or other full-text search engines would be a strong advantage.
- Experience with cloud technologies (preferrable AWS).
- Understanding of the underlying technologies and practices around Artificial Intelligence (AI embeddings, vector search, RAG, MLOps).
Key responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement features.
- Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve your skills.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues across different platforms.
- Write unit, functional and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Influence the ultimate shape of the architecture of the application.
