About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will deliver business value through the management of IT products including execution of change projects for all Finance departments. You will be responsible for the technical implementation of change projects in this area as well as maintenance of our evergreen financial products.

How you will get the job done

• being responsible for implementing solutions using Microsoft technologies (Visual Studio, .NET, .NET Core, SQL Entity Framework, SQL Server, MS Azure) and frontend technologies (Vue, TypeScript) and UI framework (Vuetify)

• designing and coding of complex product changes following architecture and coding guidelines, including the provision of technical documentation for developed solutions

• being responsible for adhering to appropriate standards (coding, performance, monitoring capability, audit acceptability, secure environment)

• planning and executing tests, creating unit tests, and automating regression tests

• supporting of product upgrades and ensuring smooth release transitions, especially to Vue v.3

• provisioning of technical application support, resolving incidents and problems; collaborating on bug fixes and changes in .NET Core APIs

• leverage understanding of the insurance industry and reserving to drive meaningful solutions

• mapping of business requirements to systems/technical requirements

• service-oriented behavior while working for a business department

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English

• university degree in Computer Engineering/IT or a similar qualification

• several years of working experience in software development as a Full-stack Developer, with in-depth knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle

• deep technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Visual Studio, .NET, .NET Core, SQL Entity Framework, SQL Server, MS Azure) and Vue and UI framework (Vuetify)

• strong knowledge of clean coding, object-oriented development principles, patterns, and agile development practices, as well as DevOps technologies

• technical knowledge in systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture, and cloud architecture

• experience with user experience (UX) design principles and creating intuitive interfaces

• know-how about test-driven design, unit testing, and automated testing

• track record of successful implementations that delivered value to the business

• willingness to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high productivity and a strong work ethic

• demonstrated skill in fostering a collaborative international team culture by encouraging responsibility and knowledge sharing

• excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information, promoting understanding and cooperation

• proficient in working independently and managing tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
