About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our IT Business Solutions – Life & Health Reinsurance team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and supporting digital solutions that leverage modern cloud-native technologies 

How you will get the job done

• designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and user interfaces using Azure APIM and modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js or Angular) 

• developing and deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes on Azure 

• building robust backend services and APIs using Java, Python, and .NET Core 

• designing and implementing event-driven architectures using tools such as Azure Event Grid, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka 

• implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring high-quality code delivery, automated testing, and streamlined deployments 

• collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions 

• ensuring that solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards 

• participating in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives 

• supporting production systems as part of a DevOps model (build, own, run) 

  
  

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on cloud-native architectures 

• proven experience with Azure Cloud services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure API Management, and Azure Functions 

• strong front-end development skills using Vue.js or Angular 

• proficiency in backend development using Java, Python, and .NET Core 

• deep understanding of RESTful API design, security (OAuth2, JWT), and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI) 

• solid understanding of DevOps principles, automated testing, and monitoring practices 

• hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for source control, build/release automation, and Infrastructure as Code 

• familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) 

• strong experience with relational databases, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL 

• experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures 

• proven ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed organization with geographically distributed teams 

Nice to have

• experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation 

• familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes package management 

• experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) 

• familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus 

• exposure to Azure Bicep, ARM templates, or other IaC tools 

• experience with API security best practices and zero-trust architectures 

• familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog 

• prior experience working in a product team setup, contributing to iterative delivery and long-term product ownership
