About the role
An IT System Analyst manages and ensures the identification, analysis and preparation of explicit and implicit stakeholder requirements and supports defining its application functionality during implementation and maintenance.
As a member of a team IT System Analyst also interacts with all the stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and challenges, which influence the analyzed requirements. An IT System Analyst gathers, documents, and analyzes respective needs and requirements regarding IT systems. acts on behalf of the stakeholders, proposing functional solutions, both to the stakeholders and the delivery team.
How you will get the job done
gathering business requirements, creating business requirements descriptions and models, facilitating meetings with the business and working with documentation
managing the requirements, prioritizing, discovering and managing unclarities, outlining problems, assessing break-events, presenting opportunities and solutions for business in terms of functionality, cost, delivery time
managing the analytical/requirements debt – consciously deciding what to update, what to leave as outdated and cancelled
expressing the requirements of the product functionality down to the user story or use case level, expressing acceptance criteria or crucial elements of test cases for qas – in cooperation with the delivery team
cooperating with the solution and technical architect, product owner and product or program manager with a detailed understanding of the product features
assessing completion of functionalities implementing business requirements
supporting product validation (testing on behalf of/with the stakeholders)
supporting incident monitoring for running systems – investigating and assessing incidents, supporting and coordinating their resolution, including activities of 2nd line support with the team
Skills and experience you will need
very good command in English (B2)
higher education in computer science, econometrics, physics, math, etc.
2+ years’ experience working with business requirements in the context of software delivery or IT analysis for the fintech industry (or similar) in the role of IT analyst or similar
knowledge of – or readiness to learn – insurance business domain
systems thinking – understanding distant and indirect-related consequences of requirements
experience in collaboration in a complex stakeholder landscape and with many relationships
strong communication/interpersonal skills and presentation skills
proven analytical background and diligence in documentation
understanding the software creation process
understanding business processes and business rules in form of logical rules
modelling experience in any established notations
MS office skills, knowledge of some ticketing system (eg. BMC, Jira, Trello)
perseverance and patience
proactive attitude with delivery-oriented mindset
Nice to have
knowledge of BPMN, UML
UX/UI design knowledge and web gui components
IT solutions architectural knowledge
understanding terms related to IT interfaces
understanding cloud based applications philosophy
