About the role

The Head of Network Security is responsible for leading the organization's efforts to deliver key security services related to the protection of the network. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive network security program, leading a global network security operations team servicing all infrastructure environments across the Group Technology landscape, ensuring compliance with security standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's overall security posture.

How you will get the job done

• developing and overseeing network security strategy, policies, and procedures

• leading a team of geographically dispersed security professionals in delivering operational services including web proxy, intrusion detection and prevention, firewall policy governance, distributed denial of service prevention, and network segmentation management for all mandated entities of the Group

• collaborating with IT executives and infrastructure teams to deliver the effective implementation of network security defenses while ensuring required network availability

• providing regular reports and updates to senior leadership on the organization's network security posture

• ensuring compliance with relevant security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards

• acting as a subject matter expert on network security topics during audits and incident response activities

• evaluating and implementing tools and technologies to enhance network security capabilities

Skills and experience you will need

• fluency in English

• University Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

• min. 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on network and infrastructure security

• proficiency in network security tools (e.g., proxy, firewalls, IDPS) and processes

• strong analytical skills to assess risks and prioritize cyber security efforts effectively

• consulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and information sharing

• leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional and global teams effectively

• strong knowledge of security frameworks and best practices

• understanding of local regulatory requirements (DORA, VAIT, TRM in Singapore, OSFI in Canada, etc.) as well as international industry standards (NIST, ISO 27000, CIS Controls, COBIT, etc.)

Nice to have

• relevant certifications such as CISSP/CISM or other IT focused certifications highly desirable
