About the role
We are seeking an experienced leader to take full ownership of a cross-functional engineering and delivery organization within a digital product cluster. This role combines deep technical leadership with strong people management, ensuring the reliable development, operation, and continuous improvement of applications and platforms while driving high-performing teams.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from planning and development through deployment and operations, while maintaining alignment with architectural standards, security requirements, and business objectives.
As a key leader, you will balance technical excellence, delivery performance, and team development, operating in a dynamic environment with high expectations and strong stakeholder engagement.
What defines success in this role is high-performing, engaged teams with strong ownership mindset, stable, scalable, and well-governed technical platforms as well as strong alignment between technology execution and business outcomes.
How you will get the job done
owning the full application lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and operations) across the cluster
ensuring stability, scalability, and maintainability of applications and platforms
driving adoption of modern development practices, tools, and architectural standards (e.g., CI/CD, automation, quality engineering)
overseeing incident, change, and problem management, ensuring rapid resolution and continuous improvement
maintaining strong understanding of system landscapes, dependencies, and integrations across complex IT environments
ensuring compliance with IT security, data protection, and architectural frameworks
identifying and implementing innovative technology solutions to optimize delivery efficiency and system performance
supporting project delivery by ensuring resource availability, technical readiness, and smooth transitions into operations
leading, coaching, and developing cross-functional, potentially distributed engineering teams
fostering a high-performance, ownership-driven, and collaborative culture
ensuring strong team accountability, engagement, and motivation
acting as a trusted partner for business stakeholders and senior leadership
collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery
managing external service providers and vendors to meet performance and quality expectations
communicating proactively on risks, progress, and strategic initiatives
Skills and experience you will need
fluency in English
strong experience in software engineering leadership roles, combining technical and delivery accountability
deep understanding of software development lifecycle, modern engineering practices, and platform-based architectures
proven track record in leading and scaling engineering or delivery teams
solid experience with complex IT landscapes and system integrations
strong knowledge of incident, change, and release management processes
experience in digital products, online platforms, or customer-facing systems
ability to manage complex delivery environments with competing priorities
strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
experience in vendor and stakeholder management in international environments
excellent communication and leadership skills, with a hands-on and proactive approach
